Privacy Definition


Privacy Lock; Door locks that are used for bathrooms and some bedrooms that have a push button or thumb turn mechanisms.



Passage Definition



Passage Lock; Knobs or levers used on closets or pantries with no locking mechanism are called passage locks.



Dummy Knob/Lever Definition




Dummy; One sided knobs or levers which go on a flush door surface are called dummy knobs or dummy levers.



Deadbolt Definition




Dead bolts; Stationary locks that have no turning function and are usually located on exterior doors above an entry lock.




Handleset Definition




Handleset; Front doors often have a decorative hardware peice.




Entry Definition




Entry lock; Any door knob or lever that has a place for a key.
